Geothermal

Geothermal energy is renewable energy obtained through the use of natural heat from the interior of the earth. Geothermal energy sources can be found in a wide range of temperatures, and can be used for power generation with Rank® equipment.

Types of geothermal heat sources

Hot springs

Hot water or steam can flow outside naturally, by pumping or by impulses, being usual to make the operation with two wells.

Geothermal wells

Low and medium temperature geothermal energy has temperatures that can reach 150ºC.

Volcanic heat

Depending on the ambient temperatures, Rank® equipment can generate electricity with heat sources above 90°C.
